http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Laurent-Koscielny-c21742 has asked Robin Van Persie to stay at the Emirates and help the North London club win trophies this coming season.
The Gunners captain went on to reveal that he wouldn’t be extending his stay at the North London club, once his contract with the team came to an end. He went on to blame his decision on t he fact that the team just don’t have the right plan to move forward
and he feels he needs to win some trophies, before he calls an end on his career.
Despite Koscielny respecting the forward’s decision, he thinks that the Dutch international should stick around at the club and try and help the team move forward. He thinks that the new players that have been brought in, would help Van Persie excel even
further and it is now up to him to decide what he wants to do.
"Giroud and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 can play together," the Frenchman said.
"Van Persie is one of the greatest strikers in the world. We all want him to stay and help Arsenal win a trophy.”
The centre back then went on to reveal that he did talk to Olivier Giroud, in order to convince him to move to the Emirates. He told him that the team was doing rather well and that Arsene Wenger was someone who you could trust, to help you develop as a
player.
"I trust Arsene Wenger. I had to continue with him," the centre-back declared.
"Giroud wanted to have information [about Arsenal]. I did my http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 and told him that Arsenal was a club where there was everything he needed to improve.
"With the stadium, the training centre or in terms of atmosphere in the club, I told him what I thought about the club and that's what tipped the balance."
Should Van Persie leave, then Giroud would go on and become the team’s main target man up front. Given his track record from the previous season, he might just be able to fill in the hole that the Dutchman would create, once he does leave the Emirates.
