Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Laurent-Koscielny-c21742 is wary of the threat that England possess and the defender is not looking to have any slip ups against the Three Lions.
The French international is set to take on England in the opening game of the Euro 2012 and feels that the draw against the Three Lions, is possibly the worst draw that the team could have had.
Koscielny, who has previously managed to make only one appearance for the national side, is set to be a part of the starting eleven and the defender is already feeling the pressure, ahead of the match taking place.
When talking about the game against England, Koscielny is quoted to have said: “Our first match is like a final for us”
“To play against England is the worst possible draw but it will be an enormous chance for us to progress if we win.”
He then admitted that the game was going to be a high stakes one, which neither one of the two sides could afford to lose.
The Gunners centre back also admitted that previously, it would have been understood that both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and France would make it to the next round of the tournament, but that is no longer the case.
“We can’t afford to lose. Normally you might expect France and England to qualify for the second phase but football never works like that,” he added.
“We know this is like a final because defeat would be a disaster. Our first objective is to get out of the group and to lose the first game would make it very difficult.”
Koscielny is more than likely going to be facing his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Oxlade Chamberlain could both feature for England against him.
The striker already knows how the two operate, but it is going to be interesting to see him try and mark the attackers.
Nonetheless, if his performances with Arsenal are anything to go by, then http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 really have nothing to worry about and it is the Rooney-less England that need to start worrying about how they are going to get past France.
