  1. blessed by the rabbi or made in a place blessed by the rabbi

  2. the kitchen and all of the utensils as well as the food all have to meet strict rules and regulations,  then after that it all has to be blessed by a rabi that specializes in kosher parve, things that will never make the grade are meat and dairy products in the same recipie ,anything that comes from an animal with a cloven hoof (swine ) you will never see a kosher cheeseburger even if the meat and the cheese are both kosher ,as one must wait four hours after a dairy meal before you can eat meat ,and you have to wait for eight hours after a meat meal before you can eat dairy ,so if you have roast beef for dinner ,you wont be having ice cream for desert
