Kosovo - EU?

Question

When do you think it would be possible for Kosovo to enter the EU?

Is it possible for it to enter the union at a different moment than Serbia?

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that Kosovo isn't Serbia, I'm just saying that almost all of the EU countries have recognized Kosovo, and from that point of view it might not be foolish to consider Kosovo entering the EU as a separate part of Serbia.

Should we consider clashes if Serbia enters 1st the Union?

Kosovo has 80% unemployment, an economy that has been completely destroyed, look at countries like bulgaria, romania and some of the other countries, it took them 14 years or more to get into the EU from a not so bad situation, do not expect Kosovo in the EU any time soon, though they will receive more money from the EU than the other countries did and by pumping money in they will be able to solve quite a few problems, like the drugs problem there.

Hopefully both kosovo and serbia can benefit from this, and perhaps the whole of the balkans will be in a better economic situation which may reduce the extremism, if kids can get jobs at 18 then they won't need to get their heads filled with propaganda from either side and will be able to live side by side.

If Serbia joins the EU it will be on the basis that Kosovo is a separate nation. The up and coming elections will decide which way the serbs go, if the nationalists win, the balkans will go down hill, if the others win they will get stronger. Unfortunatly not all people vote with their heads, they sometimes vote for their hearts which have been filled with rubbish for too long.
