Question:

Kosovo and Georgia conflict?

I can't help but think about how very similar Kosovo and Georgia conflicts are. Only in Kosovo America played Russia's role in defending the breakaway territories from its former country. So why, now, does the world frown upon Russia when it didn't let Georgia consume South Ossetia and other breakaway states?

Ossetians are not Georgians.Their genetics differ. So why can't they have their own sovereign nation?

  1. exactly what I think

\But I think the point is not much in georgia, kosova or Southt osetia. The conflict is between russia and USA

no one wants to see the other countries prespective.

South Osetian are escaping from Georgians (russians are ust helping them), but all american tv is talking about russian agression (not georgian)

finally Georgians began all these mess (they entered south osetia and russians anly then came to help the citizens of south osetia.

  2. Statigical dirty politics by the U.S. It's a chess game by power hungry leaders.

  3. When Russia lets North Ossetia go, then maybe South Ossetia can split from Georgia and North and South can unite.

The world is seeing Russia (instead of Georgia) trying to consume these breakaway states, not give them independence. This is why Russia is getting all of this heat from the West.

You're missing the real question, though:

Why do South Ossetians have Russian passports?

    (Ossetians are not Russians, either!)

  4. Because a US oil pipeline runs through Georgia.
