Kotchman hitting .400 vs lefties this year, should I start him against Johan tonight or start nick swisher?

Kotchaman no question.

Johan Santana is a lefty but he isn't a lefty killer unlike Randy Johnson because Santana doesn't throw hard and he doesn't have that big breaking pitch. So he is just as tough (if not more tough) on righties as he is on lefties And you even said that Kotchman hits lefties well. PLUS Swisher is really struggling. It's the perfect storm. Start Kotchman

I would rather start Swisher. He's facing Ian Snell (3-6, ERA of 5.33) who's having a bad year. I think he's going to have a better game than Kotchman. Plus most likely the lefties that Kotchman had success against this season might not be as good as Santana.

So start Swisher.

swisher is on a slump right now but pretty much the whole season he's on a slump

This one is a toss up.  Kotchman is having the better year overall though.
