The West Indies batsmen, after struggling for a major part of their innings in the first two tests, looked quite stable and steady while batting in their first innings, and the 18-year-old Barbados opener has credited the good show so far to the placid Wankhede
pitch.
"This is probably the best among the three we have played on,” said Kraigg Brathwaite while talking to the media reporters at the end of the day one at Wankhede. “New ball (was) doing a bit, but not much. It was spinning but quite slowly. We were trying
to adjust. It's a good pitch," the rookie opener added further. 
The Barbadian youngster also reckoned bounce would be consistent throughout the match.
"I feel the bounce will be consistent throughout the match. I don't think there will be low bounce or anything," said Brathwaite, who scored his career best 68 during the ongoing Test. 
The tourists played cautious cricket during the opening session on Tuesday, putting 80 runs on the board without loss. Brathwaite said that the Indian bowlers were bowling a good line and length in the first session, so it was a bit difficult to target them.
