  1. well tht all depends what kind of fight like just fighting random kids at school than i wouldn't take krav maga i would take like Karate, Kick boxing, Kung fu.

  2. Well I train Krav, first of all you need a good teacher, some teachers arent real krav instructors and will teach you Tae Kwon Do (olympic style) or pull the whole MC Dojo type of thing with it .

Next Krav is a viable form of self defence, it can be very brutal, but the most important part of it they teach you how to exit a bad situation, not fight

Next at 95 pounds you can learn and use Krav effectivley, dont get caught in the whole jujitsu and or kickboxing mindset. They are both effective but alot of schools stress ring fighting ( I have trained in both styles ) Krav teaches you situational awareness, and how to use maximum force against your opponets weakest points rather quickly, and also how to focus your agression during an encounter.

Its not for ring fighting, if you are learning real Krav and not the MC Dojo kind you will go from 0 to 60 in an encounter rather quickly and inflict large amounts of damage, its not for ring fighting ( cant stress this enough) and you most likely  will end up in alot of trouble if you use it as with any other RBSD or MA however with Krav the things you do may end up being fatal thats the diffrence (you arent really going to carer how much damage you inflict)

Thats why a Kravist first motivation in fight is to get away , so with that being said yes  Krav would be a good art for you simple, efficent and most importanly teaches you not to fight unless there is no other way

If you want to learn find a good teacher and learn the purest Krav you can. Best to start looking at www.kravmaga.com and move on from there most teachers will let you take an introductory class or two so you can see what you are getting into, not only that you will get a great workout and meet alot of cool people usually which is the case at my school

  4. if its for slef defense from criminals like robberies, stickups, or muggings u should take krav maga. but if ur trying to beat up bullies take ju jitsu and kick boxing

  5. Probably not if you wanted to beat schoolyard bullies, but if you are looking for real self-defense on the street such as muggings, robberies, hostages and situations with guns or weapons it would be ideal. Take it from me.. I don't weigh a lot either (even though I am pretty strong and muscular) and i'm in eighth grade like you, but honestly I could choke out or armbar anybody in the school so.. if you're looking to be able to win a school fight you should take Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and a standup martial art like boxing, taekwondo, karate etc.
