Kris Boyd, James McFadden named in Scotland teamScotland coach Craig Levein has revealed that striker Kris Boyd and attacker James McFadden have returned to the national team for their UEFA 2012 European Championship qualifying clash with Liechtenstein at Hampden Tuesday night. The duo were left out of the 0-0 draw with Lithuania, but replace Steven Naismith and Barry Robson as Levein opts for a more attacking formation than the one he fielded on Friday.Left back Lee Wallace, who missed the previous match through injury, has also been named in the starting line-up in the place of Steven Whittaker, who has been ruled out, and ahead of Kevin McNaughton.Levein had revealed over the weekend that he would make some changes to the team and told reporters he would draft in "one or two flair players".Versatility gives manager optionsScotland talisman McFadden, who was carrying a niggling groin injury which meant he only played as a substitute on Friday, certainly falls into that category. His versatility means that Levein will be able to switch up his formation on-the-fly should he choose to do so. McFadden could play on the left side of midfield in a traditional 4-4-2, just behind strikers Boyd and Kenny Miller as an attacking midfielder or even joining that duo up front as part of an ambitious 4-3-3 formation.Allan McGregor will again start in goal in place of injured first-choice Craig Gordon. Wallace will line up on the left side of a defensive line which also features David Weir and Stephen McManus in the middle and Alan Hutton at right-back.If McFadden is deployed in midfield, he play alongside captain Darren Fletcher — who will win his 50th cap Monday — Scott Brown and Lee McCulloch, who may be deployed either as a holding midfielder or in the middle of the park with Fletcher playing on the right.
