Kris Letang scores in Overtime to lift Pittsburgh Penguins over Montreal Canadiens 4-3 -NHL Update
Kris Letang suffered a broken nose after a incident with Montreal goalie, Carey Price, but he did not let it affect him by returning back in overtime all bloodied up and scoring the winning goal for the Pittsburgh Penguins to edge the Canadien, 4-3, on Saturday
night,  November 26, 2011, at the sold-out Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Letang had his nose popped back into place by the teams’ medical staff present in the arena and was determined to return and overturn the incident in his favour, which is exactly what he did, proving his passion for the sport.
"He put a pin in it and -- pock," Letang explained in French in the dressing room about his nose being put into place. "It's not perfect yet, because I want to be a model at the end of my career."
Evgeni Malkin kicked off the scoring only 21 seconds into the contest for his eighth of the 2011-2012 National Hockey League (NHL) regular season, followed by two straight from the Canadiens as Travis Moen potted on a breakaway opportunity unassisted nearly
a minute later and Max Pacioretty got double digits with his goal scored nearly midway through to take the lead.
Erik Cole extended the lead 11:09 into the second period while Pittsburgh’s, Pascal Dupuis put the visitors within reach of the score by one entering the third and final round of regulation.
As the match neared in on the closing minutes, Jordan Staal, fired off for his 12th of the season at the 15:30 mark and levelled the score to silence the rowdy home crowd, forcing an uncertain overtime extension while Letang came out strong and
made the OT game-winner with less than three minutes to go to take the match.
"It shows a lot of guts and we're all happy that, first of all, he's OK, and for him to respond like that it's pretty amazing," Crosby said.
Pittsburgh will be eyeing a third straight victory when they face-off against the New York Rangers on Tuesday, while the Montreal Canadiens hope to snap their two-game losing streak when they go head-to-head against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday.
