Ormsby Stays at Sale
Kristian Ormsby has put to rest any speculation linking him away from Sale after signing a new two-year deal with the club.
The forward had been linked with a number of clubs after the recent surge of signings at Sale, which has made his position in the team for next season a little unclear. However, the player has said that he is ready and willing to fight for his place around some very good players.
Ormsby says that Sale have a very good shot at finishing in a high position next season if they can get off to a good start. He has also rubbished reports that have suggested that it will take longer for the new players at Sale to gel together.
Ormsby has a number of attributes that will ensure he remains a key player in the team. He will now have to fight for his place a lot harder but he will avoid a lot of common problems that follow a player when he joins a new club.
Attributes
Ormsby is a very versatile player in the attacking half of the pitch and this is very important. All of the players that Sale have signed so far have been for specific positions. Ormsby can adapt and play anywhere along the front line, which suggests he may be used as cover for other players.
He doesn't appear to have lost any of his drive and determination. This is important because it will keep him on top of his game as more quality players come in around him in the team. It will give him the best chance of starting and will ensure that he doesn't sit on the bench for the entire campaign.
He said: "Obviously, it was very disappointing to get injured so soon after my arrival and the injury took longer than we expected to heal. But I was delighted to rejoin the Sale pack towards the end of the last season and am very much looking forward to the future with the club."
He has a great deal of experience having spent a number of seasons at Sale. The club will be looking to him to help the new players in the squad settle down and take to Sale like ducks to water.
Common Problems
There are a few common problems that follow players around when they go off to join new clubs and Ormsby will avoid these. He will not have to settle in at a new club and learn about how the club works because he has already been at Sale for a number of years.
He will avoid a great deal of publicity that he would also have to endure if he joined a new club. This would highlight him as a threat to opposition sides and they would focus on taking him out of big games next season.
He added: "Like everyone, I am excited by all the new signings we have made and am looking forward to working with new head coach Mike Brewer. Now I just want to play my part in trying to bring success to the club both in the new season and beyond."
Betting Advice
Sale are going to be a surprising package next season. They would not have made all of the signings they have done if they did not want to finish in a very high position in the league. If you have an instinct that they could win the Premiership then go with it but don't bet a life changing amount of money, just have a punt because this is the safer option.
