French teenager, Kristina Mladenovic, had the most successful campaign in the year 2012. She was first ever semi-finalist at the Quebec City and secured $125 winning title at Taipei. After that, she nudged up to the top 100 position
and in the end, she secured the doubles title in Canada. She is one of the most successful junior tennis professional ready to make big hits.
Talking to the media, Mladenovic said, “I was No.1 in juniors when I was 16, I won Roland Garros, finalist at Wimbledon, semi-finals of US Open- I'm motivated to copy that performance at this level. My dream is to be No.1. I'm
aware it's a big thing to be No.1 and it's a really long road. I was going to play a big junior tournament in Osaka, and because I was coming from France it was good to have a few tournaments in a row going into it. So I just continued the trip through Asia
and went to Osaka. I've kept including Taipei on my calendar.”
The right-hander challenger dreams big and aims to secure the world number one spot. She enjoins a special importance to her win at the Roland Garros and she aims to take advantage of her homeland. She was unable to secure a decent
game at the start of the year but as time progressed, she gained momentum to collect some victories.
The 19-year-old participated in numerous championships in France but was unable to secure her destined win. The local wild card entrant received a straight-sets defeat at the hands of Dominika Cibulkova, in the first round.
Mladenovic made it through the earlier qualifying rounds of the Wimbledon Championships held at the green grass courts of All-England Club, suffering a three-sets defeat at the hands of Jana Cepelova. The French junior made it
until the semi-final of Contrexeville at the clay courts of France.
Ranked 85th in the WTA Premier Rankings, Mladenovic battled until the third round of US Open held at the hard courts of New York. Her performance at the Bell Challenge and Taipei WTA Ladies Open was remarkable, boosting
