Bayern Munich attacking midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 after criticism of the veteran star in recent weeks. The experienced player has 97 caps for his country and was still criticised
by former Germany internationals’ Olaf Thon and Gunter Netzer last week.
Thon claimed that Der FCB playmaker is not the player he used to be and Netzer added that the star’s place in the national team is up for grabs for youngsters like Ilkay Gundogan. However, Kroos does not agree with these comments
and said that he has not really paid attention to these claims.
The young starlet stated that several people have their say on a number of things, but they do not carry equal weightage. Thon had suggested that Schweinsteiger has lost his speed, but Kroos added that pace was never his strength
and his game did not depend on it.
"A lot of people comment on certain things," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The playmaker commented that he has rarely seen Bastian dodge a player in his playing career. He accepted the central midfielder’s game is different to most players.
"I have hardly ever seen Basti beat an opponent, throughout his entire career," the former Hansa Rostock youth academy player added.
"He is a different type of player, who's important with his passes and his mere presence. Very few players in his position dribble a lot. So this is all nonsense for me,” the former Bayer 04 Leverkusen man mused.
"Basti is in fine form and put in a great performance against Schalke. This will not distract him," the Germany international finally concluded.
Kroos said that Schweinsteiger is known for his passing and his influence on the playing field. He further added that only a handful of stars dribble in his position. Therefore, he rejected Netzer and Thon’s statements. He conceded
that Schweinsteiger is in great run of form and was on top of his game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Schalke-04-c39204.
