Question:

Krs-One giving soulja boy props?

I saw a video on BET the other day when I was skipping through the channels. To no surprise, BET's hero Soulja boy was on the show in his oversized lime green yumz shirt with a matching hat. Right next to him was Krs-One freestyling with him. After the freestyle, Krs-one said "d**n, I gotta give my man Soulja Boy props for that" and "I think he beat me on that freestyle."

Rhh: Would you ever imagine Krs-One giving soulja boy props?

  1. This whole discussion about "how you feel about KRS one giving Soulja Boy props" and people replying to the likes of, "what in the h**l KRS one" is evident to the fact people dont know what respect is anymore.

KRS One "respects" him as an artist and he is acknowledging that fact. He is in no way shape or form is he saying that he likes his music.

You can respect somebody but not like what they do. I respect a drug dealer for what they do and taking care of theirs BUT, I dont agree with what they do at all.

  2. i watched it and i honestly thought he was doing it because he didn't wanna disrespect soulja boy

  3. Lame. Nas gave props to Soulja Boy too.

Ye compared Nas to Soulja Boy. Say something like..I dunno. Some BS.

  4. i agree with allusion.yall might not like soulja boy music but dont hate the kid.he made his own style and blew himself up.aint that what half yall underground artist tryna do ?give him his respect.whether you like it our not it is hip-hop.thats what i said.IT IS HIP-HOP.and im not even a fan of his.I thought this $hit was about self expression.if it was up to yall all "rappers" would rap about how much money they got and how much drugs they sold with a synthesizer voice hook.wake up.i live the life your favorite artist is lying about and i still wont rap about it.rise and shine.it aint cool

  5. By encouraging Soulja Boy is like encouraging a bunch of Storm Trooper Soulja Boys to form like Voltron and that is something I don't want to see.

  6. KRS-One is not about to make a fool of himself. He exemplifies hip hop, and for him to put down Soulja Boy (no matter how sh*tty he is) would make KRS-One look like a fool. I looked at the video, and KRS-One didn't acknowledge Soulja Boy's music. He respected him, but mainly because he's young and in the game. I doubt Chris-One has respect for his rapping ability, for I didn't hear him mention once about Soulja Boy's rapping. It's good that KRS-One is teaching Soulja Boy a lesson on hip hop, and I hope Soulja Boy carries those lessons to his personal life.

People can say that Ice-T acted like a child for what he said to Soulja Boy, but the truth of the matter is is Ice-T spoke the truth (I'm referring to Ice-T's response). I couldn't agree anymore with what Ice-T said. Rappers today need to bleed out their lyrics, and let people feel them!

  7. this what needs to be done tho... if the old heads keep bashin the new cats the worse the music will get. if ni99as could put their egos on pause and actually build with the youth Hip Hop wouldnt be lacking as much consciousness as it does today. good move by the teacher. maybe this will inspire soulja boy to really stop and take a look at his craft before he puts it out. perfect example is jeezy learnin from nas....the recession is already his best lp and it didnt even drop yet....yea the leak is out there.

  8. I Can't Believe He's Going So Low, 1st HE'S Freestyling Over 50 Cent Beats Now This =/

  9. Krs said that we should give the new age a chance, so he just being fair, but i think he was high before he freestyled with soulja boy, HE MUST HAVE BEEN.

he just being fair and giving the new people a chance, i respect him for that. its what we should all do, but Krs aint seeing it from a fan;s point of view, so he wont understand why we hate soulja

    oh well

  10. Doesn't KRS-One have Alzheimer's anyway? that's not shocking behavoir from him.

  11. The world is coming to an end.

  12. KRS-One is trying to do whatever he can for a little bit of attention and he fails miserably every time. The collaboration with Marley Marl failed. Associating with 50 Cent failed. Associating with Soulja Bou and his A Millie freestyle will fail. The mainstream fans don't care, and the old-school and underground fans are losing respect for him. I hope mid-life crises don't become a trend in hop hop now that more rappers are reaching that age...

  13. **Breaks all KRS-One albums that he owns**

Wow, I've heard it all now. Hopefully he was just saying that to gain some popularity with the kids, either that or he was blazed.

  14. WELL DUHHHHHH !!!!!

I BET THEY GOT PAID FOR THAT TOO !!!!!

THINK ABOUT ALL THOSE LIL KIDS WHO LOVE SOULJA BOY .. WELL **** ... NOW KRS1 LOVES HIM .... THEY MUST BUY THIER S**t TOO .... IT'S ALL FOR THE MONEY ... CUZ I PROMISE YOU NONE OF THEM RESPECT SB .. MAYBE THE MONEY HE MAKING RIGHT NOW .... BUT NOT HIM AS A RAPPER !!!!!

  15. i hate soulja boy.
