Ktm 200 vs ktm 250..

how much faster is the 250 over the 200 and which is a better trail bike

If you are referring to the EXC series only, the 200 is probably easier to ride because it is 10kg lighter and less powerful.  Ultimately the 250 will be faster any place it has the opportunity to use its greater horsepower (long straights and steep hills).

For a less rigorous riding experience I'd pick the 200, but if I wanted to ride faster than that I'd pick the 250 EXC.  

How much faster is the 250, on a long flat straight about 6 to 8 kph.  On a steep hill 8 - 10 kph.

200 is much better trail bike.

Obviously the 250 will be a bit faster, but there is just something about the 200 that makes everyone fall in love with it. I would personally get the 200 for myself over the 250. I would stay away from the W model with the 200 though. The wide ration tranny doesn't lend itself well to the 200's power band.
