Ktm duke 690 or aprilia dorsodura 750?

ive got money burning a hole in my pocket,around £5500.now i know im lucky you dont need to tell me! but..ive been looking for a motorbike for ages to commute to and from work, around 30 mile both ways.i was going to get the aprilia till i seen the ktm duke 690,i know the duke is only single cylinder but how does it handle on the motorway???? which should i go for?????

  1. both are good bikes but only one will last for what you want...go for the aprillia....the ktm,while being a belting bike there just to flighty...and its not the case of ''if'' it brakes ,its ''when'' it brakes ..cos it will...

    there quite a good bike to work on/split engines  and such..but you dont want to be doing that 6 months down the line,do you?...no?..then buy the aprillia,


  2. it all depends on what kind of handling you prefer, besides different people will say different things about the two bikes, your best bet would prob be to go to a showroom to try and find out from a dealer.

    Both are nice bikes, i would go for aprillia

  3. The KTM looks like it would be a blast to ride. I have ridden the Super Duke but not the 690.

  4. Have you looked at the Ducatis?

    Very nice, 696 and 848 have a high power to weight ratio, which makes for more get up and go, as well as handling better.

    Maybe the KTM Super Duke is a better choice?
