Aleksei Kozlov reveals the reason behind Kuban Krasnodar’s fine Russian Premier League form.
FC Kuban Krasnodar defender, Aleksei Kozlov, has praised the Kazaki upon claiming a decent Russian Premier League spot at the end of the second league round and highlighted good defensive work behind the reason for their success.
The Yellow-greens have conceded 8 goals in 10 league appearances. Kozlov revealed that the Russian outfit has been playing magnificently and urged his teammate to gear up for the third league round.
Kozlov heaped praise on Dan Petrescu, the Lifters head coach, and revealed that the Romanian tactician could help the Russian outfit climb up the league table.
Petrescu, who signed a five-year contract with the Krasnodar-based club in 2010, promoted Kuban Krasnodar to the Russian top division from the Russian First Division in his debut year.

After completing a successful year at the Kuban stadium, the Romanian national signed promising strikers Lacina Traore and Sergei Davydov. Both the strikers have been magnificent for Kuban, scoring 24 league goals between them.
“Last year gave us a lot of confidence and beautiful emotions. We achieved good results and our every single player wants to improve. We want to lead Kuban to success. We need to prove something and should not disappoint our fans.
“We will write new pages in Kuban’s history. I am sure the future will be a lot brighter.” Kozlov said.” The former FC KAMAZ Naberezhnye Chelny player was quoted as saying.
Kozlov went on to reveal that he got operated upon his nasal septum during the break and assured the fans of good performances when the League resumes in March 2012.
The 25-year-old went on to admit that he started training individually, after a successful operation, and revealed that he spent much of his time working in the gym.
“I want to get back to full fitness as soon as possible and engage in full.” Kozlov said
