Kuban Krasnodar’s Roman Bugaev expecting a draw against Terek Grozny: Russian Premier League
Kuban Krasnodar take on Terek Grozny at Akhmad Arena in their upcoming Russian Premier League encounter, having lost to Lokomotiv Moscow in their previous league meeting at home. The Kazaki defender, Roman Bugaev, has revealed
that he is expecting a draw at Akhmad Arena.
Kuban Krasnodar won 5-0 against Volga Nizhny Novgorod before losing 1-0 against the Lokhi in their previous league meeting. Bugaev believes that Kuban are unpredictable and need to be more consistent in order to claim a decent place on the league table.
The Russian defender was speaking to the media ahead of the training session at Kuban stadium. Bugaev revealed that he has returned to full training and is likely to play against the Chechens.
Bugaev admitted that Terek are a strong team and it is going to be very difficult for Kuban to claim the three points against the Nohchi. The Russian national highlighted that Terek are going to play attacking football in front of their home crowd. The recent
form of the Chechens has been questionable as they have lost their previous four league meetings, conceding a whopping 14 goals in the process.
Kuban manager Dan Petrescu is currently using the 22-year-old in a midfield position. Bugaev revealed that he is ready to face any challenge on the field. The Lifteri stopper admitted that the Chechens are their direct competitors on the league table and
expressed his desire to finish the season by claiming a position at the middle of the table.
“I think a draw would be an acceptable result but we will strive to win. At each meeting we try to get maximum points and now we are playing with our direct competitor in the standings. I'm quite comfortable to play in both positions. My main role is to
help the team so it does not matter to play as a left-back or a midfielder.” The former FC Torpedo Armavir left-back was quoted as saying.
Bugaev revealed that Kuban have complete faith in their head coach and hoped to claim maximum points under the Romanian national in the remaining games of the season.
