If BMW can keep up the good work, there is nothing that can stop him in the near future, who knows he might even be WDC at the end of this season

Bmw has been the 3rd fastest car during the whole season so far, and just look at the job he has done with it, leads the WDC table and has totally crushed his highly rated team mate.

Go Robert!!

  1. That's quite an ambitious statement - anything is possible really. RK leads the WDC- who would ever

thought that it was possible? Robert has been the best driver on the grid this year in terms of consistency -

neither Kimi or Lewis can compare - no points in Montreal for either of them and bingo Robert is at the top.

Does BMW have the package to go all the way? Not quite there by a few metres at this point .... but I wish

    Robert would win it!

Kubica is definitely a talented driver and the way that BMW is improving he could get it this year. Also he does not seem to make silly mistakes and drives consistently. Hamilton to me does not seem to be learning from his mistakes and needs to mature before he can win a title. I think it is definite that Kubica will win a title in the next couple of years but am not so sure of Hamilton.

  2. Yes he could, next year when BMW improves further.

  3. You never know my friend but I believe Lewis has more heart then people think and will overcome mistakes to be a champion before Robert.  BMW is definately a steady team presently.   Good for Kubs.

  4. BMW Sauber is getting better every race so I would'nt be suprised if that happens.

  5. i think it could happen. like last year who knew that kimi would be the world champion by 1 point.

but i think that will happen again. i think either kubica or massa!

even though i want kimi to win it!

  6. I'd love to see it happen but at the moment it might just be wishful thinking. At least Kubica has consistency this season, which might actually work in his favour.

  7. I think it's very possible - even if it isn't this year! Even Bernie Ecclestone thinks he's a better driver than Lewis... http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/ne... - Pity for Lewis the championship isn't based on arrogance - then he'd walk it! ;-) lol

    GO BMW SAUBER!!!!! :-)

  8. I really wouldn't be surprised if Kubica won the title before Hamilton. I said at the end of last season that it might be 2008 or never for Hamilton, and nothing has happened so far to change my opinion. By the same token, if Raikkonen wants a second title, he probably has to do it this year as well.

  9. Lewis has the upper hand this year with a better car.

BMWs consistency has brought Kubica where he is now but he needed Ferrari and McLaren to falter to win a race.

I expect a a driver from McLaren and Ferrari each to overtake Kubica in the championship, that would be Lewis and either Raikkonen or Massa, perhaps both.

If Lewis doesn't win it this year either and looses out to Ferrari again, the counter is reset.

Who knows what the future will bring?

We don't even know which team Kubica will be driving for next year.

He most certainly looks capable of becoming a world champion if he puts himself in the right place at the right time.

  10. I won't be surprised at all. Right now the McLaren is the faster car but BMW aren't too bad either. The thing with Kubica is he started his rookie season under the radar. He wasn't attracting lots of attention like Hamilton did. That I think, is good because there's no huge mounting pressure on him to be perfect everytime.

Instead, Kubica just did his job. he was always there, very quick and learning from each race. He took things in his stride and just kept working hard. Plus I think he has the determination and not the sort to wave the white flag when the going gets tough. If he keeps up his good work, he'll be F1 World Champion before Hamilton knows it

  11. If anyone can do it, it's Robert.

  12. quite possibly. He's in the lead now so if he can carry on being consistant then I really can't see why he couldn't do it. If he does then fair shout to him. I have always said watch out for him and BMW

  13. Possibly, if Lewis continue making mistakes at the rest of the season.

But two ferraris are still there and i'm sure their target is to become the champion again.
