Kuei Chun Shih ousts Petr Koukal in Men’s Singles round-of-16 at Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012
Chinese Taipei’s talented player Kuei Chun Shih continued his superb performance in the arena and reached into Men’s Singles quarter-final after defeating Czech Republic’s Petr Koukal in round-of-16 clash at Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012 on Thursday, December
6, in Korea.
Taipei shuttler, who remained successful in showing a wonderful performance in all of his matches in the tournament, remained consistent in his aggressive play and toppled Koukal in 47 minutes.
Kuei Chun was in remarkable form in the arena as he did not show any sign of confusion at any stage and remained successful in winning the battle in two sets with a controlled margin on the board.
Meanwhile, Koukal tried to give a good fight but he failed to elevate his play in the ending points of both games and remained unable to avoid defeat from the hands of his Taipei challenger without creating a strong impact.
It was a wonderful fight in the initial points when Kuei Chun showed attacking display of his craft on court.
The highly elevated craft and wonderful strategy assisted Kuei Chun to put his challenger in all sorts of trouble in the arena.
Kuei Chun advanced with a terrific speed in the starting part and remained in lead on score board until the break.
After the one-minute break, Kuei Chun was focused in the arena and remained successful in keeping a reasonable difference.
Kuei Chun continued executing powerful strokes in targeted areas and managed to bag the opening game with a reasonable margin of 21-18.
In the second game, Kuei Chun did not lose his control at any stage in the first half of second game as he played with confidence and precision.
Taipei shuttler entertained the crowd with his tremendous craft that assisted him to keep pressure on his opponent who could not find positive run.
In the second half of second game, the lofty Kuei Chun continued his power play and easily wrapped up the second game by a decent margin of 21-17.
Kuei Chun emerged as the winner in this round-of-16 clash in a tremendous fashion by a reasonable 21-18 and 21-17 score on the board.
