The skipper of Deccan Chargers, Kumar Sangakkara, is all praise for his left-handed opening batsman, Shikhar Dhawan, and has expressed that the youngster should get a proper opportunity to play for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in international cricket.
Deccan has failed to make an impression in the current season and is languishing at the bottom of the points table with merely five points after 11 fixtures. The Chargers have miserably failed to get their act together in the current season and their fans
are devastated with the results.
However, Sangakkara is looking at some positives of the event and said that some of the players have performed exceptionally well in the tournament and had the team fielded well this season, things would have been different for the franchise.
Sangakkara, who is reckoned as one of the most elegant left-handers in present-day cricket, feels that Dhawan has the ability to make it big at the highest stage of the game. The former Sri Lankan captain also praised the showings of Cameron White and Parthiv
Patel.
“There has been quite a lot of brilliant individual performances, but where we have lacked was was fielding, especially in tough situations. Young Sikhar Dhawan has been magnificent for us this season and should be playing for India in near future. (Cameron)

Dhawan has scored 375 runs in 10 matches and is among the leading run-scorers of the tournament. The left hander has already played five One Day Internationals for his country but has so far struggled to cement his place in the national team.
The wicketkeeper/batsman further added that the cash-rich league provides a huge chance to the local players to learn the trade playing alongside some of the best in the business.
He added, “The IPL is an opportunity for Indian players to be able to play with the best in the world and learn from them. These players, however, have to be very smart about it.”
Deccan will take on Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 today in its 12th match of the current season and will be looking to restore some pride.
