China’s talented player Huan Gao worked really well in the arena and he easily reached into Men’s Singles semi-final after beating his higher ranked challenger Wong Wing Ki in quarter-final contest of Kumpoo Macau Open Badminton GP Gold 2012 on Friday, November
30, in Macau.
The lower ranked Huan, who is an un-seeded shuttler in the main draw of the championship, played with incredible precision and topples the World Number 23 and fifth seed Wing Ki in 51 minutes.
Chinese man was incredibly quick on court as he played with remarkable precision and managed to end up the match in straight sets with a convincing difference on the score board.
In the meanwhile, the higher ranked Wing Ki could not deal with the growing pressure in the arena and he eventually went down against Huan without proving his mettle in the arena.
Huan delivered extremely well from the opening points of first set as he played with phenomenal speed and took over the control.
The in-form Huan proved that he has attained highest class skills in the arena and eventually successful in taking a strong domination in the arena.
Chinese shuttler stayed in dominating position all the way to take a phenomenal lead until the end of starting part.
The confused Wing Ki could not play positive game after the mid-game interval as he lost his focus in the arena.
Huan did not reduce the pace of the game at any stage and comfortably clinched the first set with a close total of 21-19.
In the following set, Chinese shuttler did not take much time in controlling the things as he played with terrific speed in all area and easily got an early lead.
Until the one-minute interval, the in-form Huan remained miles ahead on the score board as he played flawless badminton and maintained pressure on his rival.
After the break, Wing Ki could not put up strong show as his opponent Huan played aggressive badminton and wrapped up the game with a reasonable 21-13 score on the board.
Huan emerged as the winner in this quarter-final clash in straight sets with a striking 21-19 and 21-13 score on the board.
