Kumpoo Macau Open: Shih Hua Teng sends Chih Hsun Yang packing in Men’s Singles second round
Chinese Taipei’s in-form player Shih Hua Teng played with remarkable precision in Men’s Singles second round and remained successful in defeating his compatriot Chih Hsun Yang in a dominating fashion at the Kumpoo Macau Open Badminton GP Gold 2012
Shih Hua, who remained impressive in the opening round clash of Macau Open, continued his winning run in the second round and easily overpowered his team-mate while taking just 32 minutes in the arena.
The impressive Shih Hua showed his elevated craft in the arena and he did not face any tough opposition from his rival and won the match in straight games with a comfortable difference on score board.
In contrast, Hsun Yang could not put up strong show as he missed many chances to earn points and eventually crashed out without proving his impressive skills in the arena.
Shih Hua played with terrific control in his shots and managed to occupy the driving seat from starting points of the opening game.
The hard-to-learn variations in Shih Hua’s shots helped him to maintain his supremacy against his challenger on court.
It was Shih Hua who showed no respect to his spirited rival in the starting half and secured a comfortable lead in the arena.
The battle progressed in the same manner after the one-minute interval as Shih Hua did not lose his control in the arena.
Shih Hua did not slow down the pace of rallies at any stage and comfortably bagged the first set with a superb 21-17 margin on the board.
Hsun Yang increased his speed to play tricky badminton in the first half of second game but could not construct pressure on his rival.
Until the one-minute break, Shih Hua entertained the crowd with his tremendous craft and took a wonderful lead on score board.
Shih Hua was calm and positive in the arena in the concluding points of second set and claimed the second game with a staggering difference of 21-16.
The aggressive Shih Hua proved his supremacy against his compatriot by beating him in straight sets with a convincing 21-17 and 21-16 score on the board.
