Kung Hei Fat Choy to take revenge from Dubai Sunshine in Betdaq Casino Games Handicap at Kempton
Dubai Sunshine recently dropped a massive bomb on Kung Hei Fat Choy, as he beat the 6-4 favourite in last week’s Ladbrokes Bet On Your Mobile Apprentice Handicap at Southwell. Under Ian Burns, Michael Bell’s charge led well before the last two furlongs, and stayed on well to retain his advantage until the wire.
His strong finish further added insult to Kung Hei Fat Choy’s misery. With the help of a flawless effort, the 6-1 chance notched up the top rank by three quarters of a length.
The convincing win would have given Dubai Sunshine plenty of confidence, but a similar affair is unlikely at Kempton, where the two 3-year-olds will be up against each other in the Betdaq Casino Games Handicap on Wednesday, September 05, 2012.
Kung Hei Fat Choy was no more than an unlucky loser last time. The son of Elusive Quality did nothing wrong, but could not add the finishing touch. Kempton's conditions are going to favour.
Another thing in his favour is Dubai Sunshine’s unimpressive track record at Kempton. The Michael Bell-trained was second last on his previous outing here last month.
On the other hand, Kung Hei Fat Choy is a lot more consistent. Owned by Danethorpe Racing Partnership, the bay gelding has won two races so far this season.
The going is standard, which will also help James Given’s trainee dish out revenge in today’s class 5 meeting. According to the plan, the 1-mile event will be started off at 19:30 GMT. It has attracted a dozen quality runners, who will aim for a cash prize worth £2,264.
Apart from the abovementioned pair, no is likely to make an impact. Engrossing is performing consistently these days, but luck is not on his side. Trained by Richard Hannon, the 3-year-old is yet to get off the mark, and needs plenty of luck to do the trick this time.
All eyes are glued on the rivalry between Kung Hei Fat Choy and Dubai Sunshine. The latter has a slight psychological edge, but the last-time loser is well capable of getting back to the winning ways. Good luck to all the horses.
