The 60-year-old coach has expressed a desire to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Renat-Yanbayev-c30821’s price
According to Soviet Sport, a meeting between Rubin Kazan’s Board of Trustees chaired by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, is scheduled today with reference to the press service of the head of Kazan
Maxim Lopukhov.
The main issue of the agenda will be the extension of the contract with the current head coach, Kurban Berdyev, whose deal expires on 31 December 2012.
Berdyev, who helped the Kazan-based club in winning back-to-back Russian Premier League titles since joining them back in 2001, may leave the Russian outfit after falling out with the club’s general director,
Andrey Gromov, last week.
News in Russian media suggest that Rubin will appoint Soviet Top League champion, Anatoliy Byshovets, should they failed to convince Berdyev extend his current contract at Tsentralnyi stadium.
Berdyev has remained tight-lipped over telling any details or the agenda of the proposed meeting, saying that the media will know about his future until Wednesday.
However, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Taraz-c39224 manager told the fans that he may pen down a new deal at Kazan should the management give him a free hand in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Berdyev admitted that Rubin are struggling to meet the expectations this season and insisted that they need fresh blood if they are to compete for a better place on the league table.
Speaking on the proposed winter reinforcements, Berdyev revealed that he would like to sign Zenit St. Petersburg’s Aleksandr Bukharov and Lokomotiv Moscow’s Renat Yanbayev this January.
“I will definitely welcome back Bukharov to Kazan. He is a smart footballer. He has further developed some skills at Petrovsky stadium, which he lacked before.” The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Speaking on Yanbayev, Berdyev revealed that Lokomotiv’s Olga Smorodskaya has put a big price tag on the Russian defender.
“We are in touch with Yanbayev’s agents but all depends on Smorodskaya.” He concluded.
However, he hoped that the ongoing negotiations with the Moscow-based club’s president will bear fruit.
