Kurt Tippett of Adelaide Crows will stick to his franchise until the end of his contract term
The Australian player, Kurt Tippett who is currently playing for the Adelaide Crows of the Australian Football League (AFL), has confirmed that he will continue to serve for his franchise until the end of this season but holds intentions of moving back to
the Gold Coast, his home side.
It was communicated by him to media that this move of his is in response to the relaxation offered by the contract which stated that he has the option of moving out of the contract to attached strings with the club of his choice after 2012.
With this statement issued by him, there is a major upheaval within the franchise regarding the existence of a clause which permits an exit of this kind.
However, Steven Trigg, the chief executive of the franchise is denying the existence of that sort of clause within the contract and has shown his intention of keeping him on board for the after his current contract term wears off by the end of 2012.
While talking about this episode, Tippett stated, “I'm contracted [to Adelaide] until the end of next season and I intend to - and expect to - play out that contract to the very best of my abilities. I'm embarrassed and disappointed by reports [to the contrary]
because I believe when you sign a contract you honour that contract. I'm not going to deny I'm a beach boy at heart … I do get homesick at times and at some stage during my life I think I will return to the Gold Coast.”
Tippett also shared that his current franchise has always done the best for him as they have helped him all along. He further added that it is payback time for him and he wishes to do exactly the same for his club and has all intentions of playing to the
best of his abilities, until the end of his term with his franchise.
Tippett was ousted from the Adelaide’s clash lined up on Sunday against Geelong at AAMI Stadium on account of injured hamstring.
However, he is expected to return after a week for selection for the future games.
On Friday, a statement was issued by the Crows that confirmed that the Tim Milera will be exiting from his contract with the Tigers, who performed well during this season with Port Magpies, as he has a talent pool available to benefit from.
The Football operations manager, Phil Hang stated that Tim was unable to cope up with the required mark up of training for quite some time but the mutual agreement was reached that he is not in the capacity of measuring up to the required level of training
demanded of him.
Despite his splendid performance with the other outfits, he has struggled to sustain himself within the AFL listings. Therefore, in lieu of that mutual agreement; the decision was taken which stated that both parties are ok with parting their ways.
