Kurt angle, chuck liddell??? UFC

ok, me and my friends were arguing who would win in a ufc match, kurt angle or chuck liddell, i said kurt, they all said fu'k no he would get wasted, but i think and kurt would man handle him with wreslting, get him to the ground and he able to submit him if he knew some god chokes, but they all say chuck would knock him out on punch, what do you think????

Chuck would win. Its seems only a few people on here know that Kurt Angle was an olympic gold medalist in freestyle wrestling. Kurt has a chance of ground and pounding Chuck but I think if it went to the ground Chuck would submit Kurt or get back up and KO him. Chuck comented on the possibility of this fight and Chuck said he could probably beat me in a wrestling match but when to add in strikes and submissions its totally different. Chuck has a better ground game, hes a div 1 wrestler and BJJ purple belt. Kurt would lose.

Kurt doesn't have chance at lasting longer than 30 seconds.

Demon, Couture did take Chuck down three times in one fight.

surprisingly with ease. although he didn't keep him down for long, except for when Couture won by TKO, first fight

Kurt may have been a better wrestler when he won the Olympics - but he's been involved in sports entertainment pro-wraslin' for years.  Chuck has kept up his wrestling practice since his highschool days, so I would be shocked if Kurt could out wrestle Chuck.

When it comes to striking, there's no contest.

When it comes to Kurt submitting Chuck, that's not going to happen.  Chuck has never been submitted - he probably should have submitted when Jeremy Horn choked him unconscious - but he didn't.  There is no way his first submission would go to someone new to MMA.

Kurt Angle would only have one way to win that fight, and defending that kind of attack is Chuck's greatest skill.

I do think it is a shame that Angle never got into MMA instead of that idiotic manopera c**p.

ok lets go through what could happen for Angle.

he goes out there expecting a wrestling match leaves his hands down and gets punched (chuck only needs one good one)

second he shoots for the take down a lot and get shrugged off and punched from some bad angles and shoots until he gasses and gets ko'd.

he trys to stand a little to throw chuck off and gets punched.

he does take chuck down but chuck uses the cage to get up since angle is not used to it like chuck

he takes chuck down and keeps him down. what is he going to do pin him. Angle is not an experienced ground and pounder and will either hold him till the stands them up or trys ground and pound like a rooky does and chuck gets up.

the ref stands them up but now angle has waisted to much energy and gets hit.

he has chuck on the ground and is keeping him down and chuck submits him because of lack of time practicing submissions

Chucks take down defense is legendary.  Thats whats made him one of the most dominant fighters in UFC history.  Angle would try to bull rush Liddell(big mistake) Chuck would circle out landing that left hook resulting in Angle getting KTFO

1) kurt angle doesn't have any experience in mma bouts

2) chuck liddell has a very well developed ground game as well as take down defense (also, wrestled in highschool and college)

3) chuck liddell knocks out just about everybody

kurt angle wouldn't last through the first round with Chuck liddell, even if he tried to take liddell to the ground he would get knocked out quickly
