Kuwait to California

Question

My fiance is coming home from Kuwait on a military flight soon, and he can only leave out of there at certain times hhe said, so I was wondering how long it will take him to get home and what time I should expect to meet him at the base

It will take awhile. When my hubby flew home a few weeks ago, just to get to Dallas took about 20 hours of flying time. You also have to factor in layovers, weather, mechanical issues. I would expect it to be a couple/3 days, at least.

You may get a variety of answers on this as this is done with civilian contract airlift companies.  They and their schedule operate a little differently than the normal air carriers that fly every day in out of civilian airports throughout this country and the rest of the world.  Delays due to weather, refueling  and maintance problems have more impact on these kind of flights.  Flights like this normally run twenty hours and sometimes more depending on the way they are routed and stop for fuel.

If he flys dierectly to the base and that base is on the east coast the flight is about 16 hours
