The Holland International watched the match against the Toffees from the sidelines, as poor form kept him from making it into the starting eleven.
However, the 31 year old remained confident that he will bounce back in the FA Cup final against the Blues, scheduled to be played on the 5th of May at Wembley.
Liverpool and Chelsea booked their place for the title match in contrasting manner. The Reds edged their Merseyside rivals 2-1 in a close affair, while Di Matteo’s side breezed past Tottenham Hotspur with a comfortable 5-1 win.
The Reds veteran forward, who has capped 276 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, has suffered a beleaguered current season. So far in his 35 appearances, he has only managed to score five goals. His last goal for the Anfield team came at the crucial
moment in the Carling Cup final in February.
Other than his landmark goal in the league cup final, the Dutchman also managed a scalp against AC Milan in the Champions League Final in 2007, which Liverpool lost 2-1.
"I am proud that, after the Champions League final and the final of the [League] Cup, for the third time I am with Liverpool in a final," Kuyt told reporters.
"I will do everything to ensure that in the third final I prove my worth with a goal."
Kuyt, who earlier celebrated his 50th goal for the Reds against Wolverhampton Wanderers in January, has played an important role in his side’s FA Cup run. He scored an 88th minute winner against Manchester United in the fourth round,
to knock out the league leaders.
 Since then, he has struggled to find a place in the Reds starting eleven. He was reported to have expressed his frustration on the lack of playing time that he was getting, but ruled out the opinion that he is contemplating parting ways with the club.
Talking of the match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019, the Dutch footballer expressed his delight over the Reds win, but was disappointed at the same time, for not being able to play a part in the momentous match.
"It is a disappointment that I did not play [against Everton]. I expected to come on and you hope to be the first to come on but that was not to be.” He added.
"But there have been some important moments for me in the FA Cup, such as my goal against Manchester United”
