Is it fair to say that Svetlana Kuznetsova, who lost her opening match at the Italian Open yesterday, is not in good enough form to defend her French Open title?

That’s a fair comment. Kuznetsova left the hard court tour in average form and hasn’t really turned things around in her first two tournaments on clay.
