KwaZulu-Natal v Western Province – CSA Provincial One-Day Competition, 2012/13 (Coastal Pool) – Match Update – Western Province secure narrow 9-run win
The list A match between KwaZulu-Natal and Western Province looked to be a close one, but an aggressive burst from the Western Province’s bowlers enabled them to bowl their opponents out and secure a 9-run win in the ongoing CSA Provincial One-Day Competition,
at Kingsmead in Durban on November 25.
The match kicked off with KwaZulu-Natal winning the toss and deciding to field first. Brandon Scullard (9-1-33-3) and Dane Paterson (9-1-35-2) led the team’s charge, and succeeded in limiting Western Province to a low final total.

Kleinveldt and Sharn Gomes (37) teamed up for a 47-run partnership for the third wicket, after which the skipper was finally dislodged by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khayelihle-Zondo-c1790. None of the remaining batsmen managed to chip in with anything particularly sizeable, and only wicketkeeper

The 193-run target did not appear particularly daunting – however, Western Province skipper Kleinveldt (9-1-50-3), Simetu (10-3-19-2), and Bothma (10-0-37-2) ensured that their opponents did not succeed in the chase. Zondo’s 36 was the top-score for KwaZulu-Natal,
