Kyle Busch wins UNOH 225 Camping World Truck Series race in Kentucky – NASCAR news
Kyle Busch won the tenth event of the Camping World Truck Series, UNOH 225 held at the Kentucky Speedway.
Busch said, “On the [last] restart, when Jason White was on my inside, I figured if I could just get another good restart where I didn't spin my tires, I'd be all right. Those guys spun their tires every time, and it kind of worked for us. It's hard to not
be the leader in those positions and not spin your tires. I know how they feel.”
The race was a usual crashing drama. After a restart on lap 76, two trucks collided into each other and headed into the wall. The accident included Ron Hornaday and Cole Whitt. The other collision at the same moment was held between Jack Smith, Josh Richard
and John King. The second accident took place after Smith’s truck struck into Hornaday’s truck and the aftermath collected the other two as well.
He scored his victory over Parker Kligerman to win the fifth race in the CWTS 2011 season. It marks his 29th victory from 93 starts in the series. Busch started the race from the end of the starting grid at Kentucky.
His win is the first at the venue from third race at the Kentucky Speedway. Now he holds second position in the most wins chart. Overall, he has earned his 98th victory in the national stock car racing series.
Parker Kligerman finished as a runner up in the UNOH 225. The top five slots were completed with Brendan Gaughan, Todd Bodine and Jason White.
As his previous attempts, he has started the NASCAR weekend with a victory and will try to extend his winning streak into other categories of the national series. He will be seen racing at the Nationwide Series race, Feed the Children 300 and Sprint Cup
Series race, Quaker State 400.
After the NASCAR race weekend at the Kentucky Speedway, he will move over to Wisconsin for the Super Late Model event being held at the Slinger Speedway on Sunday, July 10, 2011.
