Kyle Kingsbury vs Stephan Bonnar – MMA Preview: UFC 139
On Saturday, November 19, 2011, two of the best fighters will collide at the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) 139. The first match of the main card on this day will feature Kyle Kingsbury take on Stephan Bonnar.
Kyle Kingsbury, the fighter who played at the season eight of the UFC will try to put down Stephan Bonnar, who fought at the first season.
The 29-year old Kyle Kingsbury, nicknamed Kingsbu, has work hard on his physique and fighting style. Over the past few years, Kingsbury has evolved himself in terms of a fighter and enhanced his game.
There was a time when Kinhsbury was on the verge of losing his career and his job as a fighter, but he made a strong comeback. In February 2011, he made an impact by beating Ricardo Romero by a technical knockout in just twenty-one seconds.
Kingsbury would try to do that again in his match against Stephan Bonnar. The 34-year old Bonnar, nicknamed The American Psycho, has also been on a good run in his fighting career. He won the Fight of the Night Honors at UFC116 against the Polish fighter, Krzysztof Soszynski, when he won the match by the technical knockout.
Being a popular fighter in the UFC division, Bonnar might have the support from the fans, for he has become quite a fighting icon amid UFC devotees.
Bonnar, standing at 6ft 1in, has won seven matches and lost seven. On the other hand, Kingsbury, with similar height as his opponent has won four matches and lost one. Where Bonnar will be confident for winning more matches than his opponent, Kingsbury will be equally confident for losing fewer matches than Bonnar.
Both players have an equal height also weigh at 205lbs (pounds), which is interesting, as they would not have the opportunity to take down the other with ease for they will have the similar body structure and can counter their opponents’ moves.
However, the technical and powerful fighting styles portrayed by both the wrestlers would make the difference.
Their fight would be a highly anticipated one as UFC fans would want to see which one of these fighters has the stamina and physical prowess to take down their opponent or complete a knockout to win the match.
Talking about their takedown accuracy, Kingsbury has 59% accuracy while Bonnar stands with 41%. They are equally matched competitors who can keep the fight interesting from the start for the aspect of unpredictability will stay in the match until a decisive winner rises.
