As his side begins their preparation to take on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mills-c76321 has warned his teammates of the threat posed by Chris Gayle, claiming that his inclusion will make their opponents a tough proposition.
Both teams will play two T20s in Florida, before the Kiwis travel to the Caribbean Island, contesting five ODIs and two Test matches.
The Kiwi’s endured a patchy start to proceedings in 2012 where they whitewashed http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 across all formats before being inflicted a similar fate at home by a rampant South African side.  This will be their third International assignment of the year, where
they will be hoping to put in a solid show for their outgoing coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/John-Geoffrey-Wright-c67883, who earlier decided not to renew his current contract.
The Windies’ have also been on a lean run off late, thoroughly outplayed on their travels against a professional English side, which took the honours in all forms of the game. While the Test squad is yet to be announced, it is likely that the Caribbean management
will recall Gayle after he made a return to the national ODI team earlier this month.
The left-hander’s inclusion has added potency upfront and Mills was keen to comment on the swashbuckling opener, claiming that his addition comes as a major boost for the Windies.
"(Gayle is) the hottest batsman in the world at the moment," Mills told New Zealand Herald. "He's going to have his moments where he's on top of you. It's how you respond to that. It's a test of character and a test of you as an international cricketer.
Personally I'm really looking forward to it."
Mills was also eager to make a mark after falling short of expectations during the previous home series against the Proteas.  He said that he has worked hard on his bowling and is now itching to perform on the field of cricket.
“In the off season I've been doing a lot of rehab, a lot of work on my game and the last four weeks have come around pretty quickly, but I've really been looking forward to it,” added the 33-year-old pacer.
