Kyle Morgan Richardson conquers Men’s 50m freestyle crown: 2011 FINA World Cup, Beijing
Two young guns of Australia including Kyle Morgan Richardson and Blair Evans outperformed during their swims in the pool on the second day of the seven-stop FINA World Cup series round six, in Beijing, China, on Wednesday, November 9.
Richardson claimed gold medal in the Men’s 50m freestyle, while Blair Evans notched golden crown in the Women’s 400m freestyle swimming events, respectively.
During the 50m freestyle final heat, Richardson surpassed his rivals including Yang s**+ and Tengfei s**+ of China by hitting the finishing wall in a fastest blot of 21.75 seconds to attain the gold medal in the respective race. Meanwhile, Yang pocked silver
medal in a spot of 22.00 seconds and Tengfei settled for bronze title in a time of 22.03 seconds.
Cameron Douglas Simpson picked fourth spot by claiming the finishing blockade in a mark of 22.45 seconds, while Haiqi Jiang of China settled at fifth place in a time of 22.55 seconds. Meanwhile, Ryan Pini and Chao Hu of China settled for a tie in a matching
blot of 22.58 seconds. Finally, Junwu Liu of China earned eighth position in a time of 22.90 seconds.
In the next round, Australian young gun, Blair Evans, did not lose her speed throughout the race and tapped the finishing blockade in a triumphant mark of 3 minutes and 58.31 seconds to claim the Women’s 400m freestyle crown.
After the splash, Blair Evans’ rivals, Olympic gold medallist, Kylie Palmer of Australia and Shiyun Chen of China pocked silver and bronze medals by touching the finishing cordon in a winning time of 4 minutes and 03.04 seconds and 4 minutes and 04.73 seconds,
respectively. Palmer previously won gold medal in 4x200m freestyle at the 2008 Olympic Games, in Beijing.
Lili Zhou of China was placed fourth in a spot of 4 minutes and 04.92 seconds, while Fei Wang of China had to settle at fifth place in a mark of 4 minutes and 05.15 seconds. In addition, Melissa Ingram of New Zealand settled at sixth place in a mark of 4
minutes and 05.52 seconds.
Sinan Ha of China earned seventh position by claiming the finishing blockade in a time of 4 minutes and 08.85 seconds, while Yuwen s**+ of China earned eighth spot in 4 minutes and 09.35 seconds.
