Kyle Naughton will join Leicester City
Tottenham defender Kyle Naughton will join Leicester City on loan until January 2011.
Naughton has not featured for Tottenham this season and he has failed to establish himself in manager Harry Redknapp’s side.
The under-21 England international joined the club after he was signed by Redknapp from Sheffield United in 2009 for an undisclosed fee.
Naughton was loaned out by Tottenham to Middlesbrough last season and the player has found it difficult to compete with defenders like Vedran Corluka and Younes Kaboul.
Sven Goran-Eriksson has only just taken over at the club and was appointed on 3 October.
The former English manager will hope that Naughton will show the same form he displayed at Sheffield United when he established himself as one of the best players in the division.
The Foxes have only taken eight points from 10 games and are third from bottom in the League Championship.
Eriksson will hope that the 21-year-old will bring some quality to his defence.
Vichai Raksriaksorn who is a Thailand investor bought out the club in August. His son Aiyawatt heads the consortium and Raksriaksorn has stated that he will give the team as much resources as he can.
"I believe they have to work really hard and we have to support them. Whatever they need they should let us know and then we can get to the target that we want," said Raksriaksorn.
The new owner has set new manager Eriksson and the Leicester team an optimistic target considering their position and the Swedish manager will be expected to deliver.
"I just told them, this year we need to go to the Premier League,” said Raksriaksorn
Leicester have spent the past week in Thailand and beat the national team 2-0 in a friendly.
Naughton will now join up with his team-mates and will be available for the match against Hull City on Saturday.
