The Tottenham right back has come to the defence of his team mate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 by branding Charlie Adam as jealous of Bale’s on the field capabilities in the aftermath of another threatening challenge on the Tottenham winger
by the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 midfielder...
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kyle-Walker-c21566 is the latest person to come out of the Tottenham Hotspur camp to have a go at Charlie Adam after the Liverpool midfielder’s rash challenge on Gareth Bale. Adam was involved in an altercation with Bale
earlier on in the year as well during the English Premier League season.
Back then, the Liverpool playmaker had undertake a similar challenge on Bale which had left the Welshman injured as it injured his ankle ligaments. This time Liverpool and Tottenham faced off again in a pre-season friendly and
Adam went in for a similar tackle but the results were different as Bale escaped without a career threatening injury.
After the tackle, Charlie Adam did have a talk with Andre Villas Boas but the Tottenham manager has insisted that he should apologize to Bale directly. Amidst all of this controversy, Kyle Walker has now come out and said that
Adam is basically jealous of Bale and that is why he seeks to take down the Welshman every time Liverpool face off against Tottenham.
Charlie Adam has had a tough time at Liverpool ever since his arrival at Merseyside from Blackpool and now he is fighting to make his place in the starting line up under a new manager, Brendan Rodgers.
Walker said, "The reason for it is simple - he is jealous as Gareth is such a good player. He did him at our place last year when he was sent off. It just keeps coming up that he doesn't really like him. Players shouldn't hate
Gareth; they should appreciate playing against a player like him.”
He added, "They could actually learn from him, rather than kick him. He's a great player." Bale is indeed lucky to escape without an injury this time as the tackle did not lack any sort of malice. Tottenham will now turn their
attention on the remainder of the pre-season tour and then prepare themselves for the Premier League season which starts next month.
