Kyler Van Swol grabs Men’s 100m butterfly gold – USA Swimming Sectionals, Iowa City
Kyler T Van Swol of Minnesota Aquatics grabbed gold medal of the Men’s 100m butterfly on third day of the USA Swimming Sectionals at the University of Iowa Aquatic Center in Iowa City on Saturday, July 21.
Van Swol shattered hopes of his competitors by snaring gold medal of the two-lap butterfly discipline. He remained prominent over his challengers from the start and proved his audacity for gold medal of the discipline.
With his persistent efforts, Van Swol managed to outsmart his challengers over the finishing end and secured gold medal of the discipline with an effort of 53.53 seconds.
He was followed by Daniel S Lester of Wisconsin Aquatics, who remained 0.41 seconds apart and finished second in the discipline by posting a time of 53.94 seconds.
The second position holder was followed by Connor S Black of Cats Aquatic Team, who remained 0.41 seconds slower and secured bronze medal of the discipline by clocking a time of 54.35 seconds.
Fourth position of the race was followed by Byron R Butler of Club Hawkeye-IA, who stayed 0.05 seconds slower and clocked a time of 54.40 seconds.
Butler was trailed by his team-member, Mitchell J Taylor, who remained 0.92 seconds slower from upsetting his former finisher and submitted a time of 56.32 seconds.
The 21-year-old Taylor was chased by Ryan R Farmer of Fox Valley Swim, who stayed just 0.18 seconds slower and transpired on the finishing end with an effort of 56.50 seconds for sixth position.
Following that, the audience witnessed scintillating efforts of Brandon P O’Donnell of Wisconsin Aquatics, who was 0.12 seconds apart and settled on the finishing wall as seventh fastest swimmer by reporting a time of 56.62 seconds.
O’Donnell was chased by Matthew J Conway of Blue Devil Swim Club, who was 0.07 seconds slower from improving his spot and finished his race in eighth best place by posting a time of 56.69 seconds.
In addition, Van Swol was extremely delighted with his unmatchable efforts in the 100m discipline and said that he would train harder to exceed expectations of his fans at the forthcoming events.
