L'Hospitalet players supporting Movember and will not shave in November
Fans of Spanish minnows, L'Hospitalet, will witness their team take on the field fashioning moustaches. The group of professional and amateur footballers are taking part in a public awareness program and will abstain from shaving their whiskers.
The principle is simple spend a month without shaving your moustache. It is a public awareness raising program specifically directed about the problems of men’s health. The campaign will highlight the dangers of different types of cancers that can affect
men, especially prostate cancer.
Players of L'Hospitalet have ascribed to the Movember campaign and exhibited their overgrowing facial hair in the high profile first leg of Copa del Rey against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. The Catalan team lost in the final last term and start their campaign to make amends
of last year’s misgivings in Catalonia.

The intention of the 'Movember' campaign is to raise funds in the fight against prostate cancer. It is "a fun way to raise awareness of cancers specific to men," said L'Hospitalet midfielder Ruben Garcia Arnal. He also encouraged fans to join him and his
colleagues to grow "a moustache and raise funds for research."
Prostate cancer is a disease given lower mileage than other types of cancer in Spain. According to the 'Movember' organization, 5900 people die each year from, while more than 18,000 men are diagnosed in a calendar year.
A similar initiative was taken in the 80's of last century. Facial hairs were used to put back in vogue among the accessory facial players beyond their meaning.
In fact, great players of earlier generations were easily recognizable by the moustache they wore during their days in professional football. One of the greatest exponents of the moustache is the current Spanish national coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 del Bosque.
Despite their good intentions before the match L'Hospitalet were consigned to a bitter defeat. Barcelona were able to overcome the stern resistance from the hosts and won with a slender margin of 0-1. Spanish international, Andres Iniesta scored the solitary
goal.
