L'Oreal denies lightening Beyonce's skin tone?

The latest ad campaign from L'Oreal has caused a huge stir by featuring a picture of singer Beyonce Knowles looking much lighter-skinned than usual, her hair strawberry blonde. Mica Paris, 39, argues that the campaign is a betrayal of black women.

Do you think this type of retouching sends out the wrong message to all society that black is bad?

first of all they didn't air brush be anymore then any of the other loreal models and second...have u seen B w/ no make up??? girl is almost white!!!....like seriously the only thing they did to her skin is make it more golden toned...beyonce is so light skinned....plus that blonde hair they have on her maker her look even lighter....this is b/s...if they really messed with her skin beyonce woulda said something in protest. Im all for dark skinned women being represented as beautiful, but i mean pick your battles. Beyonce is a light skin girl....she looks like this in all the loreal adds minus the hair.

Its ok for beyonce to wear fake shimmer to make her look more golden at red carpets and in concert but she cant be airbrushed for an ad?...please. The whole thing with the chinese not wanting black people in bars....now thats worth getting rowdy over.

i think L'Oreal f**kd up and is denying that they airbrushed too much, and i bet beyonce is po'd LMAO

Retouched photos are negative in general.

It sends out a false image of perfection that doesen't exsist in real life.

It's part of the reason so many women nowdays are so insecure,and questioning their looks..because they can't look as good as a "Retouched" image of Stacy Keibler.

I agree, yes it does send out a bad message to darker skinned people! Unfortunately that is what a lot of these companies are like. It is very wrong!!
