LA Galaxy agree to let Beckham go
Harry Redknapp’s chances of signing David Beckham got a huge boost after L.A Galaxy agreed to let the midfielder go on loan. The American club has allowed Beckham to join an English club until the start of the MLS season in March. L.A Galaxy were reluctant
to let their star go on loan after he picked up an injury during his stint at A.C Milan last season. The club has finally caved in, but Tottenham will have to cover any losses in case the player is injured during his stay at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have entered into formal talks with the former England captain to work out the terms of the loan agreement. Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has made no secret of his desire to bring Beckham to the London club; however, he conceded that the matter
is now out of his hands.
Speaking on the prospects of bringing David Beckham to Tottenham in the January transfer window, Redknapp said, “It is definitely not done - one million percent not. I don't know what has happened. I have left it to the chairman to deal with it. I think
we could do with his know-how, I think he has something to offer but it is out of my hands. I've said I'd like him but it is up to others now whether there is a deal to be done. If there is a deal to be done, I really don't know at the moment.”
The Spurs manager claims he wants to sign the midfielder to bring a bit of experience to the side. However, many believe that the deal is motivated by money. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432 is a global icon, and Tottenham stand to make huge profits by using his image. However,
the media circus surrounding Beckham’s return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 might just prove to be too much of a distraction for Spurs as they chase their first Premier League title in more than fifty years.
Tottenham are on the verge of finalizing the deal with David Beckham. If things go according to plan, we may soon see the football icon working his magic in the Barclays Premier League.
