LADIES ONLY: What kind of neighbourhood pubs are your favourite places to hang out in?

What is it about these places you like, and what do you look for in choosing a pub?

Well I don't like beer... so anywhere that has cocktails, like margaritas, piña colada.. sports bar are fun; you can see cute guys

Clean toilets, live entertainment and Stella. All can be found in my local Irish pub.

i agree with many of the answers above.  Clean toilets, and clean general atmosphere ( no sticky floors or sticky tables), place where they serve cocktails, nice music, nice friendly staff and clientele.  I have to confess i am more of a quiet wine bar fan myself.

Somewhere not too expensive, non-smoking (everywhere is in Scotland now, but not yet in England), not too noisy, can get a seat, nice decor (but not too flashy), friendly staff, a good mix of people (i.e. some locals, some workers), a good selection of drinks (including strawberry beer) and a good pub grub menu.

As for me it's a pub with good atmosphere, good music that does food so you can stay all night!

somewhere....within my age group....late 20s....30s.......good music....karaoke.....once a week...some nice young men.....not easy....good conversation....fun...

my local! its right up my street (pun intended) its full of my mates and loads of chatty nice people! they have nice cold Stella! good music, discos and various entertainment, fruit machines and pool table! i no im safe and looked after in there and it is in deed right up my street! (i can crawl home if need be! hehe!)
