LB Mario Addison signs to Indianapolis Colts practice squad after active roster waiver – NFL News
The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed linebacker Mario Addison a day after they let him go to accommodate another signing on the pay roster.
Mario this time has taken on the practice squad on unknown terms. He had previously been on the practice squad but was promoted to active roster.
The change comes on the heel of the team’s concerns on the offensive line which except for offence leader Andrew Luck lacks strength at other position.
Andrew has performed reasonably well but still remains lower than expectations and the main reason behind it is poor quality of talent at other offensive positions which the team has now attempted to rectify to an extent.
The Colts have only a single win this season which is not an ideal start given they are already struggling to overcome the bad memories of the worst season last year.
It was the drastic 2-14 ending of the last season that forced owner Jim Irsay revamp the entire squad besides the management in the hopes they bounce back in the next season.
Now the team has been hit by another bad news on front of head coach Chuck Pagano, who unfortunately has been diagnosed with leukaemia.
His replacement coach offensive coordinator Bruce Arians is upbeat about the team’s chances of a better showing for rest of the season.
It is not clear if the makeshift coach is going to introduce any major shift in the scheme on offensive or defensive lines but, as he assured, helping the side to come out of the persistent gloom is the main target in front of him.
Bruce is particularly moved by the news of his boss suffering cancer and has said he will work hard to make the Colts victorious this season to dedicate it to Chuck.
This Sunday will be first game for the new coach since assuming head coaching responsibilities and it is yet to be seen how he goes about the team plan. A win will certainly boost his confidence and also of the Colts.
