Trying to troubleshoot some random, blurry, potentially 'dead pixels' problem with my LCD monitor. It's about 6 months old and am seeing the problem recently.

  1. No.  Bad video card cannot cause this.  It is your LCD.

  2. No, a video card (or DVI card) can't cause dead pixels... BUT the additional features & clarity that the card provides can expose any dead pixels that the LCD monitor might have already had. You can try replacing the graphic card drivers if it's a 'display problem', but dead pixels are always an LCD monitor problem.
