LCD Sony tv with dish network, no signal?

Got a new LCD sony tv, hooked it up and says no signal. We have dish network satellite. I tried setting TV on the satellite channel, have reset the satellite too. Do I need to call dish network or is there something I need to buy for the TV?

Set the TV on channel 3. The Dish network box acts a cable converter, it changes the satellite frequencies to channel 3 for the TV to use. Use the RF output of the dish receiver.

OR match the video out of the dish box to the video in of the TV

Best picture use the HDMI output (if available)

Better - Use the component video output (DVI or RGB plus audio

Good- Use the composite video output  (RCA red, white, yellow)

OK- use the RF output. Put the TV on channel 3.
