LCD and DVD PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

OKAY I just bought a Sanyo 42" LCD TV....now i'm trying to hook up my dvd player to it using the AV Cables(yellow red and white) now I've hooked up all the cables properly but for some reason I can't hear the movie and the picture quality looks pretty crappy...after a few minutes now I can;t see the picture either....someone please help...THANX !!!

  1. Pretty good answer, but I'll add one more just in case that doesn't work.

    Your tv has to be on the compatible channel for the dvd player.  That should be either 3 or 4.  Try that if nothing else works.  Also, try the dvd remote and push the source button or the tv/dvd button.


  2. The TV has multiple inputs - cable/antenna, the video/audio ones you are using, possibly S-video and others.  You have to tell the TV which set of inputs you want to watch.  The instructions that came with the TV are usually very helpful in making sure you are using the right setup.
