LCD tv has to be reprogrammed everytime I turn it on. Does anyone know why?

  1. is your system set up such that another device can turn off the T.V.? for instance-if you push the power button on the cable remote does it turn off the T.V. as well? when this occurs there is no power to the TV and it loses all the settings in memory.this can also happen if the TV is plugged into a switched outlet and you turn off the switch. Tv has to stay plugged in to live outlet at all times to hold memory
