  1. If they did that, there would be no one left in the church!!

  2. An ex-mormon?

    A mental-case?

Tell her to write to me instead. What's an LDS?

  3. drama....

  4. And there was me thinking that being a mental case was an essential requirement for LDS membership!

    I stand humbly corrected!

  5. Well now dear!! I see that you have added lying to your many skills!

You reported TWO of my questions and I have the violation notices to prove it! Dated Wednesday! So much for spending the week in  Politics and Elections!

    I have written you ONCE!

Just because I suggested that you should mind your manners, and have respect for other group members, you reported me? That is sour grapes, sweetie!

My mental health is perfect! I just get testy when dealing with immature, rude people!

I was not ex communicated, I left the church on my own, but that is MY business, no yours!

Now, do have a nice day, and remember?,>>>> RESPECT!

Oh, and yes, I will continue to defend the church!

  6. It is possible.  If we knew about it the Bishop would get (him) help.  I need details.  Ignore her.  Email with details if you want.

  7. It would be up to the Bishop and disciplinary council who gets ex'd.  Some people are too analytical though and read WAY too much into things.

You can always block the person.

  8. You can't get kicked out by having a mental disability or being "crazy" really as long as you don't murder anyone or have s*x before marriage, or do something really really bad you can't get excommunicated. He may just be saying he was mormon, or quit the church on his own

  9. Maybe, the LDS church can not kick someone out for just having mental problems, however, they can kick someone out if there problems make them do something that is serious enough (murder, child abuse, etc...) and is against the church. It sounds like you need to report them for abuse on this web sight.

  10. I couldn't say. She could be excommunicated, or she could just be someone who chose to leave the church on her own.

I also couldn't say whether or not she is a "mental case" as I am not a psychologist or trained professional dealing with such things.

that being said, there are mental cases in the church, out of the church, who are atheist, who are catholic, jewish, muslim, JW, etc etc etc.

  11. Hm, would that be yourself?

To the question - no, people are not excommunicated for having psychological issues.  They are ex'd for knowingly and purposely breaking certain covenants and commandments from God - though each case is looked over individually before a decision is made.  I think the only time excommunication is automatic is when a person has been convicted of murder, but am not 100% on that.

  12. Cool.  I wish somebody would stalk me.  Nobody loves me...

  13. I don't believe mental insufficiency of itself is sufficient reason for someone to be excommunicated.  Usually excommunication is part of the process of repentance when there is serious sin.  I believe drug abuse, adultery, and abortion could all qualify, although it is partly dependant upon the attitude of the member, and the level of knowledge that they had received prior to commiting the sin.
