LDS has anyone ever been a ward financial clerk, i have a question for them?

i have a question i need answered, has any of you been one before

I've been a membership clerk twice...but have watched what the financial clerks do. They count the money with one member of the bishopric, input what you gave in tithing in the computer, count all the money, and put in a plastic bag with ward financial paper work and send it to a bank where the church has an account. All your records stay in the ward church computer, none goes to Salt Lake, just the money.

My father in law was one, and so was a friend of mine.  I fortunately enough, have been able to avoid that calling so far.
