LED Tvs and LCD tvs?

Question

Hi, My dad says that in the future, There will be LED HD TVs. They will be much more beautiful, and provide even higher definition. Can someone tell me when will most LED TVs will replace most LCD tvs?

samsung makes lcd tvs right now,  and have been for about a year.  It is still more expensive than standard lcds,  so when the price comes down for led technology they will most likely replace lcds

Some companies are now developing LED sets using a technology called OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode). I think that, so far,  the only set available to purchase is an 11 inch screen that costs over $2000. The image is supposed to be excellent and power consumption is very low, since no backlight is required like LCDs.

It will be a few years until decent sized sets are available at a decent price.
